StellarXplorers values the right to privacy of its participants and their right to limit the use of their names and other identifying personal information as they see fit. StellarXplorers uses mailing and participant lists in the ways described below. In each case, the participant may elect to stop such use by contacting the StellarXplorers Program Office.
StellarXplorers will email participants in our programs to complete the registration process.
From time to time StellarXplorers mails information about AFA membership to eligible adult participants.
StellarXplorers never sells mailing lists of names and addresses. However, StellarXplorers may share email addresses of Team Directors and Mentors with organizations we partner with to conduct the competition. Additionally, StellarXplorers may share contact information of Team Directors, Mentors, or Camp Coordinators with StellarXplorers Centers of Excellence points of contact or AFA chapters who may be able to offer resources to the Teams or Camps.
StellarXplorers will send competition-related materials to Team Directors and Mentors. StellarXplorers will send AFA StellarXplorers emails to Camp Coordinators. Any individual may opt-out of these e-mails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mail or by contacting the StellarXplorers Program Office. Opting out of the emails will mean that you will not receive critical competition and program information. StellarXplorers receives statistics showing us how many people opened the e-mail and what links they clicked to read. This helps us know what teams have accessed the program-related emails.
StellarXplorers sends broadcast e-mails periodically to participants. Any individual may opt-out of these e-mails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mail or by contacting the StellarXplorers Program Office. StellarXplorers receives statistics showing us how many people opened the e-mail and what information they clicked to read.
StellarXplorers sponsors offer internship opportunities to StellarXplorers Competitors. StellarXplorers will send Competitors and Team Directors information about available internship opportunities as they become available. Any individual may opt-out of these e-mails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mail or by contacting the StellarXplorers Program Office.
StellarXplorers sends occasional surveys to StellarXplorers participants. These surveys help us understand how to improve our program and what impact our program has had on our participants and their education and career goals and experiences.
If you want to be excluded from any or all of these mailings or lists, you may do so by e-mail to the StellarXplorers Program Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include your complete name and email address to allow us to remove you from mailings.
